Introduction
Asetek Antarctica Socket 775 waterblock
Well it’s time for a long awaited review here at rbmods! I have got alot of requests to review this new waterpump from Asetek. You might have seen it before, it’s a new 12v waterpump which has a built in tank also in the pump, this really seems to have great features that we will look closer into and also look at some performance results compared to a generic water cooling system.

I got a normal little brown box in the mail that included this pump, cables, and mounting instructions. It’s the new 12V pump from Asetek that we will look at tonight, included with it is a usb cable, temperature sensors, a foot for the pump, software, manual, and little sucky cups that holds the pump in place.

The pump has a built in tank also so it’s quite big as you will see when we compared it to a Eheim 1250 pump. Between the blue fittings you have the hole where you fill the tank with water, see to it that you have the tank filled before booting up the pump. The cap is really well sealed when you put it on so there are no chances for leaks and the fittings are push on so you just push down the tubing and it seals everything automaticlly.

In the back of the pump there are several connectors. You can for example connect an optional led, display, etc. Otherwise there are connectors for two fans, usb cables to the motherboard, and two temp sensor connectors and of course the molex connector to power the pump up. On the right picture you have a picture of the bottom of the unit.

Here we really see the size of this unit, it’s the same size as a Eheim 1250 even though this Asetek is a bit lighter than the Eheim pump.
