Gaming:
We ran the Dirt 2 benchmark to get an idea of how the videocard performs; for the settings we ran No multisampling and 1680*1050 resolution with the rest on high and we ended up with an average 12.7FPS which is reasonable and playable with minor lag with the settings used.
Overclocking:
We got the non “K” version which means it is not unlocked for overclocking.
Conclusion:
This CPU is perfect for a HTPC, you can get a very well performing HTPC that even allows for gaming at lower resolutions.
For about 300$ you can get a complete computer that performs very well for that kind of money. Overall performance was good and if we look at the price/performance ratio we get a bang for the buck CPU. You can pick this cpu up from places like Newegg and Amazon for decent prices.
Pros:
+ Onboard video
+ Price
Cons:
- None this far
